Caring for her hair is not just a hobby for Alia – it’s her full-time job. In fact, she even earns money by growing and flaunting her beautiful tresses.
As a child, Alia was always captivated by the long hair heroines in fairy tales. She dreamed of having hair just like them. Today, she proudly calls herself a “very long hair model” and even refers to herself as the “Queen of super long hair!” Her journey has become a work of art, and she wants to share the beauty of long hair with the world.
Caring for hair as long as Alia’s is no easy task. It requires dedication and a meticulous routine. Alia spends an hour every day washing her hair, followed by a full day of air drying. And when she steps out of her house, her hair requires its very own day bag, filled with 22 pounds of hair products. Imagine that!
To keep her hair healthy and strong, Alia also performs hair exercises on a yoga mat. Her husband, Ivan Balaban, is mindful of her precious locks and makes an effort to avoid accidentally damaging them. He even talks to the braid respectfully and asks it to move a bit. Now that’s love and dedication!
Of course, there are challenges that come with having incredibly long hair. Alia recalls a childhood incident where someone accidentally left gum in her hair. It was a tragedy, and she had to cut a clump of hair to remove it. It’s moments like these that remind us of the extra care and attention required for maintaining Rapunzel-like tresses.
While Alia holds the title of having incredibly long hair, she is not the record holder. China’s Xie Qiuping currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest hair. Xie started growing her hair at the age of 13 and managed to achieve a staggering length of 18 feet 5 inches!
