Rock legend Steven Tyler, the frontman of the iconic band Aerosmith, announced that he will be taking a sabbatical from performing after sustaining serious injuries to his vocal cords during a recent concert. The 70-year-old singer injured himself while singing during an Aerosmith concert in Long Island.

Despite the pain and potential damage to his vocal cords, Tyler managed to continue his set like a true professional, allowing the audience to enjoy the show without realizing the extent of his agony. However, after the concert, Tyler visited his ENT doctor in Boston, who performed an x-ray and discovered that his vocal cords were severely affected, described as “mangled” by TMZ.

According to a reliable source, Tyler is currently unable to speak at all, only producing “squeaks” when attempting to communicate. In light of this, he has been advised by his ENT doctor to observe complete voice rest for at least 30 days. Tyler expressed his regrets to his fans, stating, “I’m sad to report that I have received serious doctor’s instructions not to sing for the next thirty days. I hurt my vocal cords during the concert on Saturday, resulting in further bleeding. As a result, we will need to reschedule a few of our upcoming concerts to ensure that we can deliver the high-quality entertainment you deserve when we return.”

Despite the lack of specific details about his recovery, sources close to Tyler have described him as a “beast” and “unstoppable.” This optimism suggests that Tyler will come back even stronger after taking the necessary time to care for himself.

We wish Steven Tyler a speedy recovery and look forward to his triumphant return to the stage when he is fully healed.
