In a recent BBC interview, “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer had his conversation cut short by Paramount+ representatives. The incident occurred when Grammer mentioned actress Roseanne Barr, known for her role as Roseanne Conner, a Trump supporter, in the reboot of the sitcom “Roseanne.”

Grammer, a real-life supporter of former US President Donald Trump, was asked by BBC Radio 4 host Justin Webb if he still maintained his support for Trump. Grammer responded, “I am,” before concluding that he didn’t want to delve further into the topic.

Following the interview, Webb revealed that Grammer was willing to discuss his support for Trump at length. However, the Paramount+ PR team intervened and ended the conversation. Webb clarified that Grammer was more than willing to explain his stance on Trump and his support for the former president’s reelection campaign.

The BBC has reached out to Paramount+ and Grammer’s representatives for additional comments regarding the incident.

During the interview, Grammer intended to discuss the reboot of the beloved ’90s sitcom “Frasier,” which recently premiered on Paramount+. The new chapter of the show follows the titular character, Frasier, as he returns to Boston from Seattle. The storyline promises to bring new challenges, relationships, and the fulfillment of old dreams for Frasier.

Originally introduced in the popular ’80s sitcom “Cheers,” Frasier enjoyed tremendous success as a spin-off series, running for 11 years and earning a record-breaking 37 Emmy Awards for a comedy series. It remains one of the most successful spin-offs in television history.
