It was reported that the 51-year-old actress was in a car park in Santa Monica Beach, California when she spotted a homeless man sitting in a wheelchair. While most other A-list celebrities might have simply driven away, Jennifer Garner is cut from a different cloth.

Reports reveal that Garner was in a Santa Monica Beach car park earlier this week when she came across a homeless man who clearly needed help. She rolled down the window of her car and had a conversation with the man, before giving him a bag of essential items. But her kindness didn’t stop there.

Jennifer Garner noticed that the man was barefooted, so she got out of her car, crouched down beside him, and began putting socks on his feet. Determined to do more, she even took off her own shoes and tried to give them to the man. Though they didn’t fit, Garner didn’t give up.

She approached a nearby paparazzo, who had been following her, and asked if he could help. “What size feet do you have?” she asked. “Can I buy your shoes for him? He needs a shoe.” To everyone’s surprise, the photographer offered his own shoes, refusing any payment from Garner.

Garner’s act of generosity shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who have followed her closely. She has long been an advocate for helping others in need, having partnered with Save the Children over a decade ago. She once explained, “While I did not grow up poor, I was surrounded by it, and I always said I was a generation and a holler removed from rural poverty.” Garner’s dedication to helping children in rural America is evident through her work with Save the Children.
