Breastfeeding in public has been a long-standing debate, with opinions divided on whether it should be acceptable or not. However, one young mother named Trinati has decided to make an unapologetic stand for breastfeeding in public, regardless of what others may think.

Trinati is a proud mother who breastfeeds her 17-month-old daughter wherever and whenever she needs it. She believes that a baby’s hunger cannot wait for a convenient time or place. While she embraces breastfeeding in public, she often faces judgmental looks and has even been directed towards broom closets by store employees, thinking it would be a more suitable place for her.

But Trinati knows that broom closets are far from ideal for nourishing and comforting her child. Determined to make a change, she decided to make a statement by having her son capture a photo of her breastfeeding her baby daughter at Costco. In an interview, she expressed, “I never shy away from providing my children with what they may need from me based on our surroundings.”

Despite the uncomfortable jokes and questions from friends and family about how long she plans to breastfeed, Trinati firmly believes that she will continue to do so for as long as her daughter needs her. She is tired of people sexualizing breastfeeding and wants to raise awareness about its true purpose – to nurture a child, not to be something provocative.

Trinati boldly stated, “These are basically udders right now. Get over yourself! I’m not trying to steal your man or lady with these bad girls! To me, they have become so far from feeling like a sexual part of my body. Right now they belong to my child for nourishment, both physically and emotionally.”

She acknowledges that not everyone will understand the physical and emotional endurance that comes with breastfeeding. The strange glances and giggles she receives when people see her 1.5-year-old standing on her lap while nursing are proof of that. But she remains determined to normalize breastfeeding in public.

In an Instagram post, Trinati shared the photo she took at Costco, emphasizing that her baby’s needs will always come before anyone else’s attempts to make her feel inappropriate. She wants her children to know that they are her top priority, regardless of judgment or discomfort from others.

Trinati believes that breastfeeding showcases the trust, care, and healthy relationships mothers provide for their children from early on. She exclaims, “For me, breastfeeding demonstrates this to my children, and for this reason, I will never feel shame for allowing a baby of mine to do this with me in any environment.”
