The surgery lasted a grueling 14 hours. Kiersten bravely underwent anesthesia and had part of her liver removed. Immediately afterward, Talia received the life-changing transplant.
The operation was a success, and both Kiersten and Talia made remarkable recoveries. Talia, who had been fighting for her life, is now a thriving toddler. It’s hard to believe that she recently underwent a major liver transplant. She runs around, plays, and eats with joy and enthusiasm like any other little girl her age!
