Despite having famous parents in the entertainment industry, Ava decided not to follow in their footsteps. Instead, she chose to chart her own course. Currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley, she resides in a dorm room and drives an ordinary Volkswagen instead of a luxury car like the rest of her family.
Reese admitted that it was difficult for her to see her daughter leave for college. She even confessed to laying on Ava’s empty bed and crying. However, their bond remains strong, as Ava uploads pictures of Reese on Instagram whenever she visits.
Reese and Ryan Phillippe separated in 2007, and she married Jim Tooth in 2011. They have a son named Tennessee James Tooth, who was born in September 2012. Reese, who deeply understands the challenges of motherhood, related to the book Little Fires Everywhere. She described it as an arrow to the heart when her daughter was applying to colleges.
