The women had planned a fun-filled weekend at a remote estate in Argyll and Bute. Like any group of friends, they started off by taking a series of photos before the festivities began. In the first photo, they were all smiles, posing in front of a set of logs with a beautiful lake in the background.

But when they looked at the second photo, taken just seconds after the first, they were shocked to see a little boy’s head peeking above the logs. The sight was so unsettling that the women decided to cancel their weekend plans and go home.

What makes this even creepier is the dark history of the estate. In 1994, a movie called “The Blue Boy” was made, based on the story of a young boy who drowned in Lock Eck. The screenwriter of the film, Paul Murton, revealed that he got the inspiration for the story from a local hotelier.

According to the hotelier, the boy had been sleepwalking and accidentally fell into the lake, where he drowned. His body was found blue from the cold. Strange things had been happening at the hotel as well – cutlery and plates would be out of place, and wet footprints would sometimes be found upstairs in the corridor.

Given the eerie connection between the photo and the estate’s history, it’s no wonder the women were too unsettled to stay. They quickly packed up and left.

While there are doubts about the authenticity of the photo online, there’s something undeniably chilling about it. Whether you believe it or not, it’s a mystery that will send shivers down your spine.
