Cher, the renowned singer and actress, may not be attending her son Chaz Bono’s upcoming wedding, according to reports of an ongoing feud between the two. Chaz, who was born during Cher’s marriage to Sonny Bono, has had a complicated relationship with his mother over the years.

Chaz, formerly known as Chastity Bono, came out as a lesbian at the age of 18. Reflecting on his realization, he said, “I always felt there was something different about me.” Eventually, Chaz underwent a female-to-male gender transition between 2008 and 2010.

In his memoir, Chaz wrote about his experiences and the challenges he faced. He mentioned that coming out as gay at the age of 13 was a turning point in his life. Although it took some time, Cher eventually came to terms with Chaz’s sexuality and became a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ community.

However, their relationship faced new challenges when Chaz decided to undergo gender transition. Cher went through a mourning period and it took them about a year to reconnect. Chaz later explained, “My mother went through a kind of mourning period. It was difficult for her.”

Fast forward to the present, and it seems that the strain between Cher and Chaz has intensified. Cher recently failed in her attempt to acquire conservatorship over her son Elijah Allman’s assets. Chaz claims that Cher objects to Elijah’s reconciliation with his wife, which has further strained their relationship.

As Chaz prepares to marry his fiancé Shara Blue Mathes, Cher has been excluded from the guest list. Sources close to the situation reveal that the relationship between Cher and Chaz has deteriorated significantly over time. Chaz and Shara desire a simple ceremony without any of Cher’s theatrics.

It’s a tough situation for both Chaz and Cher. Should Chaz include his mother at his wedding, despite their differences? Or is it understandable that he has chosen to exclude her? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
