Michael Douglas was exposed to the acting industry at a young age while spending summers with his father, Kirk Douglas, who worked on film sets frequently. Throughout his teens, he displayed an interest in acting and begged his father to assist him in finding roles. Douglas first blamed his tongue cancer on stress, heavy drinking, and smoking, but in a startling 2013 interview, he claimed that it was caused by HPV, a sexually transmitted infection that can lead to cancer.
During the interview, Douglas’ publicist clarified that the actor was discussing HPV in general, not his specific diagnosis. Douglas lived a healthy lifestyle and enjoyed life despite his terrible cancer experience until the COVID-19 epidemic badly affected his health in more ways than one.
Douglas, on the other hand, maintained that his cannabis use was not the source of his health problems. He previously blamed his cancer on frequent drinking, smoking, and stress, and stated that he knows people who have smoked cannabis for as long as he has and still have good memories. He claimed that he is exploring the subject to learn more.
