A house in Moreton Bay Island burned down and became a disaster to a father and his five sons. The mother did not die but suffered mental pain after tragically losing her family.

Three houses on Moreton Bay Island were devastated by fire, but a house, in particular, was burnt to ashes leaving a father and his five young sons dead.
The fire started at 06:00 a.m., and one of the neighbors, Ricky Hale, was the first person who was alerted. Hale tried to help, but the house had been already in flames.

Hale reported that there was no way of getting into the house, but despite the big flames, one man who managed to escape the house went back inside to try to save the five boys.

Dad Tries to Have His Children
Wayne Godinet run back into the burning house to try to save his 5 sons, 11, 10, four-year-old twins, and a 3 years old boy. The father went in but was not able to get out. The children’s mother, Samantha, was able to run back out of the house but now is suffering the loss of her family.
According to reports, another 22-year-old woman related to Samantha jumped from the first floor of the burning house. The two women got minor injuries and had strong trauma.

Neighbors praised Godinet for his encourage to rescue his children. “He was like a hero, and he would have done anything in his power to rescue those kids, so clearly, it was impossible,” said Angela Dawson, a friend of family.
The firefighters started immediately to work, got the fire out, and brought out drones to see hot spots. The fire leapt a neighbor’s house, but the attendatns were able to make her out alive. Later on, the fire has been extinguished, the fire department will lead an investigation into how the home was caught in flames.
Assistant Comm, John Cawcutt from the Fire and Emergency Services, said with the house completely demolished, it will take time to clear out the ruins and get to the bottom of what could have caused the deadly fire.

The Russell Island community members are also trying to find answers. The people who lives there, all knew about each other and only had good things to say about Godinet as a father. “He was a really doting father. He always said he could not wait to get home and play with the kids,” said Dawson.

The death of these six people will affect the extended family and the community members. As for Samantha, who lost her husband and children, she will be given as much help as possible to overcome the tragic loss.

How Is the Mother Coping With ?
Inspector Mat Kelly confessed that they were still trying to calm the mother down. “She is extremely distressed at this point in time,” he reported.
Reports told that the police were at the hospital the 28-year-old mother was admitted. The mother of the family was reportedly not in any state to answer questions from the police. Samantha’s 22-year-old relative was also released from hospital after being forced to jump off the burning house.

The tragic death will be remembered by the members of the community. Godinet and his family had lived in the neighborhood for four years, and their two sons began the local primary school.

Therefore, the mayor, Karen Williams, started an emergency meeting, stating that the community would receive as much help as needed. Red Cross-trained community members on the island had already presented services.

Williams also reported that benefactors would be set up and monitored for all the money gathered to be distributed to the people who are affected by these deaths.
A big applause was given to the first responders who were there to put out the fire as quickly as possible, as well as the courage to dig through the destruction and find the six bodies.

Furthermore, the firefighters and everyone who involved in the incident will receive therapy to help process this tradegy. Although Samantha did not suffer any major physical injuries, she has been emotionally in pain because of the loss of her family, and we wish her strength.
