After months of waiting and longing for a loving home, Gnocchi, an 11-year-old chihuahua, was starting to lose hope. Rescued from a hoarding home and missing all his teeth, he was often overlooked by people at the shelter. But fate had a different plan in store for Gnocchi.

When Johanna saw Gnocchi in a virtual call, it was love at first sight. In September 2022, Gnocchi, now renamed Gucci, moved into his new home and immediately filled the empty space on Johanna’s lap with kisses. Despite her difficulty walking, Gucci jumped on her lap and showed her unconditional love.

Gucci quickly became a fashionista and a source of joy in Johanna’s home. He keeps her warm with his sweater and follows her everywhere. Whether they’re running around or snuggling on her lap, Gucci brings happiness into Johanna’s life.

Johanna’s daughter notices the incredible bond between them and shares that Gucci has brought so much joy into their once sad and quiet home. Johanna’s happiness and improved well-being serve as proof of the positive impact pets have on our lives.
