When her doctor urged her to take a pregnancy test, the actress believed she was joking.

At the age of 56, a Brazilian actress who felt her doctor was crazy when she instructed her to take a pregnancy test gave birth to her third kid.

Claudia Raia, a household personality in her home Brazil, gave birth to baby Luca in a Sao Paulo maternity facility.

The actress resorted to Instagram to share a photo of her and her husband, actor Jarbas Homem de Mello, 53, with her 8.5 million followers.

“Luca arrived, illuminating Saturday night!” she said.
On social media, other celebrities have congratulated the happy couple.
Both the mother and her infant son, who measures 48 cm and weighs 2.96kg, are believed to be doing well.
Claudia, from Campinas, Sao Paulo State, is already a mother to Enzo, 25, and Sophia, 15.

Edson Celulari, an actor, is their father.

Claudia’s professional acting career began in 1985, when she appeared in the sitcom Roque Santeiro.

She has since starred in a number of telenovelas (Latin American TV soap operas) and received various honors throughout her decades-long career.

She is thought to be a practicing Buddhist.

Natural pregnancy in women above the age of 50 is quite unusual.

However, because to developments in assisted reproductive technologies, conception in the over-50s has grown more prevalent in recent years.

“When the doctor requested me to perform the Beta-hCG (test), I remarked to myself, ‘Love, you’re truly insane,’” she told local reporters in September.

“Where did you get that?

“I’m 55 years old,” I say.
