At times, life works in mysterious ways that leave us dumbfounded as we realize that things always turn out the way they should, no matter how hard we try to change them.

Chastity Patterson, a young woman from Arkansas, lost her father four years ago, yet she never stopped messaging him and sharing details about her life. This helped her cope with his passing because she thought he was still with her.
She would write in the notes about her graduation, college, defeating cancer, and other things she would eagerly share with her father if he was still alive.
Nevertheless, one day after she wrote, ‘Hi Dad, it’s ME. Tomorrow will be another difficult day!’ she was told.

The phone apparently belonged to a father who had lost his own daughter in a car accident, and Chastity’s texts kept him alive. Every morning, he looked forward to seeing them.
‘Hello, dear. I’m not your father, but I’ve been receiving all of your messages for the past four years.

I eagerly await your morning greetings and nighttime updates. My name is Brad, and I lost my daughter in a vehicle accident in August of 2014. Your letters kept me going. ‘When you text me, I know it’s a divine message,’ Brad explained.
‘I’m sad you lost someone so close to you, but I’ve listened to you for years and seen you grow and go through more than anyone else. I’d wanted to contact you back for years but didn’t want to break your heart,’ he explained. ‘You are an exceptional woman, and I wish my daughter had grown into the woman you are, thank you for your daily updates, you remind me that there is a God, and it wasn’t his fault that my little baby died,’ he said.

‘He gave me you, my little darling, and I knew the day would come. All will be OK if you push yourself every day and radiate the light that God has given you. I’m sorry you had to go through this, but if it helps, I’m really proud of you.’
Chastity was left perplexed. The message she received both moved and surprised her.
Many couldn’t believe what they were reading when she posted the remarks on Facebook. Her post was shared over 200,000 times on the first day.
‘I text my dad every day to let him know how my day goes, for the past four years!’ she wrote with the image. Today was my clue that everything was fine and that I could let him relax!’
The post quickly went viral, and some described it as pure serendipity.
Chastity later stated that her deceased father was not her actual father, but rather a father figure in her life. He was her life’s biggest supporter and was always there for her.
‘He never missed a school dance, prom, or any of my games, and YES, he would give me long lectures about my mouth and attitude. If I was permitted to date, I had to introduce my boyfriends to him, and he would act like a regular father and give us the long chat,’ she explained.
‘I’ve grieved with him, told him everything, and even gained independence because he took the time to love me and teach me what happiness looks like. ‘Sure, Jason was my father, but he was also a role model for many children in our community,’ she continued.
‘I shared my messages for my friends and family to see that there is a God, and it may take 4 years, but he always shows up on time!’ she explained.
What are your thoughts on this story? Is it merely a fortunate accident or a minor miracle from God?
