According to the driver, Amanda Bynes mentioned that she was recovering from a mental episode. Consequently, she was put under a 5150 psychiatric detention at a nearby police station. Bynes’ long-time counsel refused to comment on the incident.
It has been a year since the termination of Bynes’ conservatorship, a legal arrangement where her parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, were in control of her affairs. This decision was supported by her parents. Since 2013, Amanda Bynes has been under conservatorship, but in 2017, her conservatorship over the estate ended.
In a statement read by her lawyer, Bynes expressed her dedication to improving her health and living independently. Additionally, she shared her excitement about upcoming projects and the launch of her fragrance line.
The Ventura Superior Court Judge, Roger L. Lund, dissolved the conservatorship, stating that the grounds for its establishment no longer existed. Since 2022, Bynes has been residing in a “structured community for women,” giving her the independence she desires while still having occasional check-ins with a case manager.
Bynes has also openly discussed her battle with substance misuse. In an interview, she admitted to the dark times she experienced, being stuck at home, getting high, and feeling lost. However, she proudly shared that she has been clean and sober for almost four years, thanks to the support of her parents.
Despite her struggles, Amanda Bynes still has the love and well wishes of her All That co-stars, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. They have been praying for her and are glad to see her doing much better.
