This incredible piece of memorabilia contains Bowie’s own corrections, drafts, and notes, giving fans a unique glimpse into the creative process behind these beloved tracks. Both songs are featured on Bowie’s 1972 masterpiece, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

It’s not the first time Bowie’s handwritten lyrics have commanded such high prices. In fact, a page of his lyrics for the hit song Starman sold for a staggering £165,000 at a previous auction. So, it’s safe to say that this upcoming auction is generating a lot of excitement among collectors and music enthusiasts alike.

If you’re lucky enough to become the proud owner of this treasure, you’ll also receive a letter accompanying the page, detailing its origin. According to the letter, Bowie personally gave the page to its original owner at Trident Studio, along with a few other pages of original lyrics, some of which unfortunately did not survive over the years.

Before going up for auction, this precious artifact was loaned to the renowned V&A museum, where it was displayed as part of an exhibition on Bowie’s life and work. For five years, fans from all over the world had the chance to see and admire this unique piece of music history.

But that’s not all! The auction will also include a lyric book previously owned by Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, featuring lyrics to some of their iconic songs, as well as a page of handwritten lyrics by the legendary Jim Morrison of The Doors. Additionally, there will be guitars, amps, and musical scores from various other influential musicians up for grabs.

So, mark your calendars for the Omega Auctions sale on Tuesday and get ready to bid for a chance to own a piece of music history. Whether you’re a die-hard Bowie fan or a collector of musical memorabilia, this auction is an event you won’t want to miss.
