“On one hand, it’s who we are as a family,” Tallulah, 29, explained. “But also, it’s really important for us to spread awareness about FTD because there’s not enough information out there.”
Tallulah emphasized the importance of using their own struggles to help others and create something beautiful out of a difficult situation. She described her father’s condition as a “really aggressive cognitive disease, a form of dementia that’s very rare.”
While the Willis family’s decision to be open about Bruce’s condition has been met with some criticism, their love and support for him remain unwavering. Bruce’s middle daughter, Scout LaRue, shared videos of her father over the Thanksgiving holiday, which sparked conversations about privacy and respect for the actor’s personal life.
However, despite the public scrutiny, Bruce’s family continues to surround him with love and support. They understand the urgency of cherishing every moment they have with him. Bruce’s health has been deteriorating, and they are uncertain how much time they have left with him. The family ensures that there is always someone by his side, providing him with around-the-clock care.
Bruce’s wife and children have even moved in with him to be closer to him. Their dedication to keeping his memory alive and providing constant love and support is truly admirable. Rumer, Bruce’s daughter, brings her eight-month-old daughter to spend time with her grandfather whenever possible, as she wants him to be an active part of her life.
