During a visit to a car park in Santa Monica Beach, California, the 51-year-old spotted a homeless man in a wheelchair. While many other celebrities would have simply driven off, Jennifer Garner is different.

We all adore Jennifer Garner for her kind and down-to-earth nature. Whether it’s preserving her family’s farm, embracing postpartum baby bumps, or showing us that aging is nothing to be ashamed of, the Elektra star has set herself apart from her peers time and again.

Last week, Garner made headlines for treating her father to a ride in his childhood car for his 85th birthday. And now, she’s in the news again for a gesture that speaks volumes about her selflessness and thoughtfulness.

According to reports, Garner rolled down the window of her car to speak with the homeless man in need. Not only did she provide him with a bag of essential items, but she also noticed that he was barefoot. Without hesitation, Garner got out of her car, knelt down beside him, and put socks on his feet.

But she didn’t stop there. The generous actress then attempted to give him her own shoes, only to find out they didn’t fit. Undeterred, Garner approached a nearby paparazzo – who had been following her – and asked for his help.

“What size shoes do you wear?” she asked. “Can I buy your shoes for him? He needs a pair.”

The photographer, to his credit, responded, “Oh, I’m an 11! Want me to give them to him? I can give them to him.” He graciously declined any payment from Garner and gave up his shoes freely.

Garner’s act of kindness comes as no surprise to those who have followed her closely. The actress has long been an advocate for helping others in need, having partnered with Save the Children over a decade ago.

Reflecting on her involvement with the organization, Garner once said, “While I didn’t grow up poor, I was surrounded by it. I always said I was a generation and a holler removed from rural poverty. And I went looking and ended up with Save the Children because they are definitely the leaders in helping kids in rural America.”
