Renowned singer Michael Bolton recently revealed that he underwent immediate surgery to remove a brain tumor. Opening up about this unexpected health struggle, the 70-year-old artist took to social media to share the news and express his gratitude for his medical team and the love and support of his family.

In his heartfelt message, Bolton said, “I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year! I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting me with some very unexpected challenges.” He continued, “Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”

Due to his recovery process, Bolton will be taking time off and postponing his upcoming tour. He expressed his feelings about disappointing his fans, stating, “For the next couple of months, I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery, which means I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring. It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.”

Fans and followers flooded the post with supportive comments, expressing their sympathy for the singer and wishing him a speedy recovery. Bolton, known for his hits like “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” “When a Man Loves a Woman,” and “Said I Loved You… But I Lied,” has sold over 75 million records throughout his career.

The upcoming tour, which was scheduled to start in February and included dates in the US, UK, Canada, and Switzerland, will need to be rescheduled. While fans may be disappointed, their understanding and support are crucial during Bolton’s recovery journey.
