Morgan Freeman, a beloved Hollywood star, unfortunately had to miss the Special Ops: Lioness press trip to the United Kingdom. His absence left co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman to handle the promotional activities for the upcoming Paramount+ series on their own.
The reason for Morgan’s absence was a fever he developed before the trip, which his physicians suspected might be a contagious infection. Understandably, the actor decided to prioritize his health and canceled his travel plans.
As expected, Morgan’s absence was noticed at various press appearances in London, including a screening of the show on Tuesday. The disappointment was voiced by Alex Jones, the host of The One Show, when Zoe and Nicole appeared without their co-star.
A spokeswoman for Morgan Freeman explained the situation, stating, “Morgan has a fever, and his doctor believes he has a contagious infection, so he canceled his trip. He is presently fine.”
While Morgan takes some time to recuperate, his co-stars continue with their busy schedule. Both Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman attended a photocall at the IET London and a screening at the Tate Britain.
