Despite his divorce from Lisa Marie Presley in 2002, Nicolas Cage has loving recollections of the late singer.

On January 12, it was announced that Presley had died at the age of 54 after having a heart arrest.

In a statement provided by his manager, the actor expressed his admiration for Presley.

“This is terrible news. CNN got a heartfelt note that contains the following passage: “Lisa had the best laugh of anyone I’d ever met.” “She was the most brilliant star in the sky, and her death devastated my heart.”

Cage did not, however, end there. Benjamin Keough, Elvis Presley’s deceased son who committed suicide in 2020, was also referenced by the actor. Cage’s intended message was made more sorrowful as a result of this.

Because Benjamin wasn’t quite a teenager when Cage married Presley, one may assume he had fond memories of him as a youngster, which makes the rest of his remark all the more tragic. Cage married Presley while Benjamin was still a youngster.

“I find some serenity that she is reunited with her son Benjamin,” Nicolas Cage stated of Lisa Marie Presley’s son in the second half of his CNN statement. Everyone knew how much Presley loved her only child, and how much she suffered after he died.
